Marco Pestana was born in Funchal in 1993. Moved to Lisbon in 2015 where he obtained a degree in Sculpture from FBAUL in 2018. In the same year he started a master's degree in Art and Multimedia in the same faculty and received a research and artistic creation scholarship by Luzlinar Association, with which he worked and collaborated in cultural and environmental activities. Integrated and coordinated reforestation teams promoted by the same association in the Union of Vila Franca das Naves and Carnicães. Today he’s in Lisbon at Associação Goela where he dedicates himself to his work and artistic research. Marco’s focus consists of a constant visitation of natural spaces and rural daily life, in which he nourishes himself. At the same time it is in these places that he finds a correspondence between the individual and places through the journey of Being and knowing.
