This antique anatomical bust was made by Louis M. Meusel. The Meusel company was founded in 1912 in Sonneberg in Thuringia (Germany) and disappeared from view after the Second World War. Busts like this were made for educational purposes to introduce students to the human body. All organs are removable. The bust is made of plaster and is extremely rare because of its fragility.
