João Andrade Massano was born in 1997 in Lisbon. He lived his entire childhood and adolescence in Benavente (PT). He studied at the António Arroio Art School with a specialization in Graphic Design. Later he graduated in painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and did his artistic residency at MArt school. He currently lives in Lisbon where he works in the spectrum of plastic arts.
2015 - Completed the mandatory school in Visual Arts at António Arroio Specialized Artistic School in Lisbon in 2014, in the Graphic Design course. Participated in the summer course of oil painting at ARCO.
2016/17 - Received a scholarship and attended an artist residency at Mart between 2016 and 2017. Attends printmaking classes with teacher Ana Lúcia Natividade.
2017 - Attends aesthetics course at Aplleton Square in Alvalade (Lisbon), with professor José Carlos Pereira.
2019 - Finishes his degree in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. Attends the artistic residence "Barbeito" with the association "Pousio".
Currently - Resides in Lisbon where he works in a studio.
2016 - First prize in the illustration contest "Há vida em Marte" from MArt school.
