Beatriz Coelho (Vila Nova de Famalicão, 1995), lives and works in Lisbon. She has a degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (2018).

"I associated this painting, Facing, exactly with a kind of distance / alienation through the position of the figure who is in a moment of waiting, in advance - as someone who faces what is to come and this future does not seem right. , and since it is obviously interpretive and I don't want to stress a meaning to it, I would say that it is a painting that naturally integrates the theme of distance, not a geographical distance (as you say) but more of the order of intellect and sensations.
