This chair is listed in the Thonet catalogue of 1906 as Halbfauteuil No. 19. The design is attributed to the Thonet brothers and dates from around 1886. Also called "Engelstuhl". Lacquered beech wood frame, provided with a Thonet stamp and a paper label that was used from 1886 to 1921. Each chair carries these 2 stamps. Wooden pin joints. The chairs are in good condition and given the advanced age, they have normal traces of old age.
